What’s best about your neighbourhood?
Christianshavn is a unique and charming area surrounded by water, canals and boats with a mixture of all types of people.
Where are the best bargains to be found?
If you like porcelain, head to the Royal Copenhagen outlet boutique in Frederiksberg.
Is there a local café or pub you always go to?
That would have to be Palæ Bar on Ny Adelgade, as it is truly a place where all types of worlds collide.
Any recommendations for local dishes?
As a true Dane, I would have to say beer and schnapps with a traditional lunch are a must. I can also recommend the sumptuous pastries at La Glace on Skoubogade.
Where do you like to celebrate?
Depending on the budget, anywhere from the fancy Era Ora on Overgaden Neden Vandet for really excellent Italian food, to the trendier Wokshop on Ny Adelgade for well-priced Thai food.
How do you travel around?
Usually by bike, like most Copenhageners.
What’s the best city landmark, building or attraction?
The statue of the little mermaid and the Tivoli amusement park.
What do you think is the best museum or gallery in Copenhagen?
I love art, so I’d say the Ny Carlsberg Glyptotek, but I have to mention the amazing collection at the Louisiana Museum of Modern Art, north of Copenhagen.
Any advice for visitors?
The canal tour is loads of fun. Pack a bottle of Champagne for the ride.
