The Uruguayan Minister of Tourism commended Global Blue’s digital Tax Free Shopping service at Madrid’s tourism event, FITUR
On the 18th of January, during FITUR (International Tourism Fair in Spain), the Uruguayan Minister of Tourism, Liliam Kechichian, gave public recognition to Global Blue for the impact it has had on Uruguay’s tourism industry.
The recognition was made during a presentation about Uruguay, reporting its strong growth in the tourism sector. As part of the presentation, Jorge Casal, SVP New Markets and Public Affairs, expressed confidence in Uruguay’s growth and status as a shopping destination for international visitors.
