Tax Free Shopping: The VIP way

Having added the latest instalments to its VIP lounge network this summer, Global Blue is continuing to grow and enhance its market-leading offering to high-value Globe Shoppers.

This summer, Global Blue officially opened the doors to new VIP lounges in the heart of London and Paris, taking the total number of Global Blue lounges across Europe to seven.

Global Blue VIP lounges provide merchants with a strong differentiator, enabling them to give their high-value Globe Shoppers the best post-sales experience. The exclusive offering provides visitors with an opportunity to relax and refresh in a luxury setting, while they enjoy a superior refund service.

The lounges also provide a unique way to connect with this high-spending segment of Globe Shopper while they are at destination, via tailor-made and measurable in-lounge advertising.

The Parisian Lounge: A showcase of French luxury

Nestled in the heart of the luxury shopping district, in a beautiful Haussmann-style apartment on Rue Cambon (near rue Saint Honoré and Place Vendôme), this brand new lounge opened in July, and is expected to receive over 45,000 in total, during its first year.

With a varied and customisable marketing offer, several brands including Montblanc have already taken the opportunity to stage some of their iconic products, clothing and accessories over the summer.

The London lounge: Landing in the West End

This lounge is based at a serene spot within the famous shopping area, Mayfair, in London’s West End. With heritage British tea brand, Fortnum and Mason as an official partner, guests can enjoy a quintessential British tea experience, while multilingual experts are on hand to escort shoppers directly to their favourite stores.

Having opened earlier this month, the lounge is expected to attract over 40,000 guests in its first year. Other partner brands confirmed to date include Max Mara, with more to be announced soon.

An expanding European network

The London and Paris lounges add to the existing network in Europe, which, in addition, spans Milan, Munich, Venice, Rome and Madrid. The collections is expected to welcome more than 350,000 travellers in total throughout 2018.
