How Global Blue and Cegid solutions benefit iconic international brand Longchamp

Global Blue forges partnerships with technology, retail and financial industry leaders to deliver innovations and services that best serve retailers and shoppers, making the Tax Free Shopping experience smoother and more efficient for all parties.

An example of this is Global Blue’s work in synergy with Cegid, a European leader of decentralised IT solutions. This partnership ensures the most secure, efficient and adaptable in-store Tax Free Shopping software.

Global Blue client and Longchamp, CFO, Mr Louit tells us why the Global Blue and Cegid collaboration provides a key solution for the Longchamp business:

“We’ve been using Global Blue solutions since 2013, in France first, we integrated through our Cegid software then in 2015, in other European countries.
VAT refunding is key in attracting foreign customers, so we need to have a software solution that operates in the most seamless way possible. Global Blue’s solution helps us to do that because it avoids re-typing customer data so we offer better customer service.
We plan to keep using this solution in the future and implement (Global Blue’s) Fast Refund and Mobile Customer Care in 2018.
It’s key for us to have partners who operate in all countries in the most seamless way possible. The fact that Global Blue and Cegid are partnering in most countries where we do business is very important for us.”

The latest innovation to come out of the partnership is the combination of:

  • Global Blue IC2 Integra - an in-store solution integrated at merchants’ POS systems, which is compatible with Fast Refund (Global Blue’s instant tax-free refund service) and Mobile Customer Care (Global Blue’s customer service innovation providing real-time support via smartphone) and;
  • YourCegid retail Y2 - a cloud based omnichannel retail and POS solution for fashion, cosmetics, luxury and speciality retailers.
