Maty travels to Shangri-La

Isabella Redmond Styles ,

Maty began as a watchmaking company in 1951 and is now known for its feminine, inventive jewellery designs. Maty has an ethos of making jewellery accessible to all women and the company’s strong moral and humanitarian beliefs combined with its fun, on-trend jewellery have earned a loyal fan base.

The company already has 28 stores across France, three of which are located in Paris, and plans to open a further six to eight stores by the end of the year. This season the brand’s influences include the Aztecs and the legend of Shangri-La. We’re particularly taken with this pearl and quartz ring.

Inspired by the fictional Shangri-La, the shape and shades of the ring evoke the high mountains of the Himalayas, in which, according to the story, the wisdom of humanity is protected by a happy race who live in a hidden valley.

The neutral-toned ring is a great way of adding pretty detail to daily outfits, while those looking to make a more dramatic impact can pair it with the complementing necklace and earrings.
