London’s best spa guide

Whether you are on the lookout for facials, massages, manicures, hair styling or even detox treatments, we have put together our list of the top-rated day spas in London

City Guide
Kirsty Welsh,

This laid-back day spa arrived in London from New York in 2001 and is still one of the most highly regarded spas in the UK, with its numerous fans including a number of celebrities. Among its most popular treatments are the Triple Oxygen Treatment facial, Blissage 75 massage and Hot Cream Manicure. For the ultimate in relaxation, opt for the hour-long Rhythm & Bliss, which involves being massaged to the beat of one of four choices of music played through a pair of noise-cancelling headphones, and is guaranteed to drive away any stress or knots.

Aveda Lifestyle Salon and Spa

Aveda is known for its natural, eco-friendly approach to beauty, and its flagship spa is the perfect place to stop off after a day of shopping in Covent Garden. It offers everything from hair styling, waxing and massages to facials, manicures and pedicures. We recommend the 60-minute Stress-Fix Manicure, which uses Aveda’s Stress-Fix range to calm and relax, and combines a scrub, filing, cuticle work and polish to finish, as well as a neck massage for total de-stressing.

One of its most popular hair treatments is the much-loved Brazilian Blowdry, a two-hour treatment which uses keratin, white clay and cocoa butter to revitalise hair, leaving it sleek, manageable and amazingly shiny for up to three months afterwards.
