AVF makes plastic fantastic with Perspex homeware

Alexandra von Furstenberg, a homeware designer specialising in acrylics, brings a colourful newness to home accessories and even board games

Hannah Lewis ,

Though Diane may be the von Furstenberg most of us have heard of, there is a new family member on the scene – homeware designer Alexandra.

Having launched her career at her mother-in-law’s eponymous womenswear label, Alexandra discovered a passion for interiors. After designing a range of acrylic tables for her own home, which she (rightly) felt would be appreciated by a wider audience, she launched her own eponymous company.

This sells innovative and colourful furniture and accessories – all crafted from her favourite material, Perspex. This backgammon set is accented with brass hardware and a leather handle, perfect for taking with you on your travels, and equally lovely as an ornament when you get home.
