It’s that time of year again when a summer season of sporting events begins in the UK. First up is the Henley Royal Regatta from the 4th - 8th July, where rowing blazers are customary for men and maxidresses are a must for women. If you’re attending the Stewards’ Enclosure, there is a strict dress code and hemlines for dresses or skirts must fall below the knee, while divided skirts, culottes or trousers of any kind for women are banned. Guests aren’t required to wear a hat, unlike Ascot, although many people choose to. Gentlemen must wear lounge suits or a jacket and smart trousers with a tie.
While there is no formal dress code for the Regatta Enclosure, men will often wear jackets or rowing club blazers and chinos, while women customarily wear smart summer dresses with wedge heels. Take a look above at our gallery of what to wear to the regatta.
