Make the most of autumn nights at The Westbury Hotel Polo Bar

Whether you’re in search of opulent cocktails or a hearty British snack, the Polo bar delivers on all counts

Isabella Redmond Styles,

As the days get shorter and the nights longer, there are few more convenient places to cosy up than the Polo Bar at the Westbury. Moments from London’s Oxford Circus and Regent Street, the art deco-inspired bar provides a welcome and very glamorous refuge for weary visitors. Furthermore, its adroitly mixed cocktails and small bites menu have garnered awards including Bar of the Year at the London Lifestyle Awards and Best Mixology at the London Club and Bar Awards.

Kick things off with a signature cocktail; the Mayfair Gold blends gin with fresh lychees and elderflower, topped up with Moët champagne, while premium Don Julio Reposado tequila and Dom Perignon 2006 champagne are combined in Tommy’s Margarita Deluxe for a luxurious take on a classic drink. Alongside a thoughtful offering of fruity non-alcoholic cocktails, the Savouries to Share menu comes highly recommended, with options that range from caviar platters to panko-crusted prawns, Greek meze and the traditional Scotch egg, which is given a fiery twist with spicy Calabrian nduja.
