Over 80 designers showcased their collections at London Fashion Week spring/summer 2019, with catwalk shows, presentations and events offering an insight into some of the trends we will be wearing next season.
Highlights of the spring/summer 2019 season included the Riccardo Tisci debut show for Burberry. Tisci surprised everyone with a remarkably pared-back, chic collection that embraced the brand’s heritage and core values, while adding his own twist to key pieces – a far cry from his signature gothic collections at Givenchy. Alexa Chung and Victoria Beckham returned to London for their new collections, while Mary Katrantzou chose the British capital as the location for her 10th anniversary celebrations.
As well as major, established fashion names, London is famous for welcoming emerging designers, many of whom are providing some of the most exciting collections of the moment.
Here, we take a look at some of the best moments from the spring/summer 2019 collections, including the new Burberry trench coats, Emilia Wickstead’s oversized bow dress and wide-brimmed hats from Simone Rocha.
