This season Swiss watchmaker Breitling has unveiled the latest incarnation of a watch that is not only the first of its kind, but could also save your life. The first wristwatch with an integrated personal locator beacon, the Breitling Emergency, now available in black titanium, is not only a beautifully crafted piece of wristwear, but also a survival instrument for even the most extreme adventures. Thanks to the watch’s dual frequency microtransmitter, the wearer can trigger an alert on the Cospas-Sarsat satellite system, guiding emergency rescue services to their location, no matter where they are in the world. The watch works in the most extreme conditions, operating faultlessly in temperatures ranging from 20 degrees below zero to a scorching 55 degrees Celsius – and looks great while withstanding extreme conditions.
