With the much-anticipated David Bowie retrospective exhibition at the Victoria and Albert Museum now open, London department store Selfridges has collaborated with the V&A to launch David Bowie Is All Yours, a dedicated space inside its Concept Store that pays tribute to this iconic British star.
Highlights of the pop-up include an exclusive capsule collection curated by cult American vintage fashion store Decades. The collection takes inspiration from Bowie’s colourful outfits from the 1960s and 1970s and includes pieces from designer brands such as Pierre Cardin, Lanvin, Céline and Alaïa.
Bowie fans will also be able to stock up on V&A exhibition souvenirs. Highlights include limited-edition prints, T-shirts, CDs, books, postcards, gold record chocolate coins and an array of accessories. Selfridges has also made its own edit of Bowie-style menswear and womenswear from the current season’s collections by designers such as Alexander McQueen, Peter Pilotto, Rick Owens and Mary Katrantzou.
Innovative UK make-up brand Illamasqua will be offering Bowie-inspired makeovers and masterclasses with Illamasqua creative director Alex Box.
The Vinyl Factory has also picked out an edit of the most iconic Bowie album covers, all on original vinyl discs. And if that’s not enough, special-edition photography by acclaimed photographer Brian Duffy will also be available to order.
