Orla Kiely teams up with Clarks

Orla Kiely has designed her first footwear collection, in collaboration with British brand Clarks. The six styles draw influence from the 1960s, with buckled shoes, platform heels and signature floral prints

Emily Scrivener ,

Irish designer Orla Kiely has joined forces with British shoe brand Clarks for her first ever footwear collection.

Kiely is known for her retro-inspired designs and quirky prints, and the new collection translates her spring/summer 2014 trends on to the high street. The capsule collection includes six covetable styles and features slingbacks and chunky buckles, influenced by her vintage design heritage.

As well as Kiely’s signature style, the new-season colour palette is also a clear nod to the 60s, with navy, red, mustard and ivory all featuring heavily in the designs. The Marianne, complete with colour blocking and buckled ankle strap, is our favourite, with the chunky heel making it the perfect day-to-night accessory.

The collaboration adds to the growing list of Orla Kiely’s collections, which includes bags, ready-to-wear and lifestyle ranges.
