Lucinda Turner,

Newly revamped for 2018, the London Fashion Week Festival takes place at Store Studios, the official home of London Fashion Week, and is the ultimate fashion destination. The event runs from Thursday 22 to Sunday 25 February and gives unparalleled access to some of the top names in the British fashion industry, with talks, catwalk shows and, of course, shopping.

Sitting in the front row at a catwalk show is something most fashion fans only dream of, but with a Luxe ticket to the festival it can become a reality. Alongside editors and key industry figures, who view the collections and pick the top trends for the forthcoming season, London Fashion Week Festival offers everyone a slice of the action. The daily Trend catwalk shows feature the top themes for SS18 to shop straight into your wardrobe and the Designer catwalk shows let you experience full collections. Designer will open on Thursday with Zandra Rhodes, known for her dramatic and glamorous designs, who will be showing her Zandra Rhodes Archive collection inspired by the most iconic dresses of her career. On Saturday, New York-based brand Nicopanda, best known for its playful and edgy approach to ready-to-wear and accessories, will show its SS18 collection, while Sunday will see lifestyle brand Juicy Couture show its fashion-forward ready-to-wear.

If you’re after an even greater insight into the fashion industry, the festival’s programme of talks should be at the top of your schedule. Speakers include fashion icon Daphne Guinness, menswear buyer Darren Skey, The Gal-Dem Collective, Fiorucci CEO Janie Schaffer, designers Markus Lupfer and Orla Kiely, lifestyle entrepreneur Deliciously Ella, digital influencers Jim Chapman, Lucy Williams and Niomi Smart, as well as top fashion executives. The SheerLuxe series will present fashion expert Trinny Woodall in conversation and a panel discussion of fashion influencers on making trends wearable; River Island will also host a series of curated talks.

Don’t spend too long chatting with the fashion elite or gazing at colourful catwalk shows, however, or you’ll miss the main event. London Fashion Week Festival is home to over 150 designer labels and is one of the biggest pop-up shops in the UK capital. Encompassing standout accessories, divine jewellery and ready-to-wear collections for men and women, the festival has something for everyone. Most importantly, it offers something to suit every budget and, whether you’re looking for couture clothing or cubic zirconia, the vast array of stalls and stands are sure to cater to your every need. If you’re lucky enough to have a Luxe ticket, you can skip the queues and pay for your purchases at the private Luxe till point, and you can also leave your bag with the Luxe concierge if you decide you want to go back and have another look.

After all that shopping, make sure you take advantage of a little time to pamper yourself. This season will see London Fashion Week Festival offer immersive experiences for the first time. The BFC has partnered with Another Space to offer yoga sessions on the catwalk on Friday and Saturday, allowing visitors to strengthen and stretch with a classic yoga flow, while Embellished Talk will hold one-hour workshops throughout the Saturday giving guests the opportunity to learn the art of decoration.

Before you head home, don’t forget to pick up your limited-edition London Fashion Week Festival tote bag, available for Silver, Gold and Luxe ticket holders and designed by the British Fashion Council’s New Generation award winner Markus Lupfer, best known for his innovative use of print, graphics and embroidery. Keeping the designer’s renowned essence of playfulness, the tote bag will feature the new-season print from the AW18 collection via three limited-edition designs, making it the perfect gift to take home from London’s most fashionable festival.
