Louis Vuitton has requested the help of some of the most influential designers in fashion, art and architecture to help celebrate its 160th anniversary.

The French fashion brand has tapped six huge names – Karl Lagerfeld, Marc Newson, Christian Louboutin, Rei Kawakubo, Frank Gehry and Cindy Sherman –for the new project, called The Icon and the Iconclasts.

Delphine Arnault, Louis Vuitton’s executive vice president, has revealed that the new collaborations will see the designers create a personally inspired bag or piece of luggage using the luxury label’s iconic LV monogram.

The exclusive pieces, priced from around  €2,000, will arrive in store in the middle of October and are sure to be this autumn’s most coveted collectors items.
