Hannah Lewis,

Affectionately nicknamed the Walkie-Talkie because of its distinctive shape, 20 Fenchurch is one of London’s most famous skyscrapers as well as one of its tallest. At 525 feet tall (160 metres), it is the 12th highest building in the entire city.

Atop the its 34 storeys is its most striking feature, Sky Garden. A botanical space in the sky complete with two restaurants, a bar and a café, this has become one of the must-visit spaces in London. Locals and visitors alike flock here to enjoy all-day drinking and dining while taking in stunning views across the city.

To beat the crowds and enjoy a more intimate experience at Sky Garden, make sure you book a place on one of the new Sunrise Tours, launched for summer 2017. These are available at 7.45am, 8.45am and 9.45am. Guests will travel 35 floors up to experience one of the most interesting tours on offer in London, all before the venue opens to the public. A dedicated and highly knowledgeable Blue Badge guide will take you around the garden, divulging the secrets of its tropical and botanical vegetation as well as the property’s architectural character.

In addition to learning about the Sky Garden itself, you’ll be taken on a tour of London from up high, giving you a unique perspective on the city’s landmarks and history. There are many tours available in London, but this is truly unique.

The tour ends with a delicious breakfast in Sky Pod Bar. Tuck in to an unlimited buffet of excellent British fare. The menu changes daily but always features freshly baked muffins and pastries, seasonal fruit platters, wholegrain cereals, amazingly rich yoghurt and, of course, a selection of teas, coffees and juices.
