Selfridges celebrates the 2016 London Design Festival with an eclectic creative catalogue of in-store events and artistic masterclasses. The programme, which runs from 18 September to 1 October, invites customers to learn unique skills, meet with top design creatives from around the world and visit unique art installations. With events spanning home accessories, fragrances, flower arranging, designer homewares and luxury leather, visitors will be spoilt for choice.
Live painting and art installation with Charlie Oscar Patterson
This event, which runs until 23 September, celebrates the first anniversary of the Conran Shop opening at Selfridges. Visitors can watch artist and designer Charlie Oscar Patterson paint the walls of the lower ground floor store using his signature style of vivid colours and graphic imagery.
Quill London beginner’s modern calligraphy workshop
Participants at this workshop can learn the art of traditional calligraphy and take home a selection of materials, including an ink pot and nib. Sessions run every weekend until 1 October.
Flower arranging masterclass with Abigail Ahern
Learn the wonderful art of flower arranging at this creative tutorial, which takes place on 1 October. As an added bonus, you get to take your unique bouquet away with you.
