Liberty’s Alternative Fragrance Festival, which runs from Thursday 23 March to Sunday 2 April, will showcase some of the store’s most sophisticated scents. On display will be world-famous fragrances including Frederic Malle Portrait of  a Lady,Dear Polly by Vilhelm Parfumerie and Debaser by DS & Durga, as well as vintage perfumes.. Collage artist Ernesto Artillo has created a unique piece for the exhibition, and there is also a retrospective of the work of esteemed perfume-bottle designer Pierre Dinand. The festival will coincide with a series of ‘In Conversation’ talks, where some of the industry’s top names, including Azzi Glasser and Lizzie Ostrom, otherwise known as Odette Toilette, will speak about all things fragrance. For those wanting more, a larger perfume exhibition will also be running at Somerset House this summer, but for now the pop-up festival at Liberty is one that fragrance fanatics should not miss.
