Karl Lagerfeld opens first London store

Paris-based designer Karl Lagerfeld today opened his first eponymous London store on Regent Street, complete with monochrome colour palette, iPads and 2,691 square feet of both men’s and women’s ready-to-wear collections

Emily Scrivener,

Chanel creative director Karl Lagerfeld has opened his biggest own-label European store to date on London’s Regent Street. The 250-square-metre store will showcase Lagerfeld’s men’s and women’s ready-to-wear collections, accessories and limited-edition items alongside cutting-edge digital technology.

IPad minis will be integrated around the boutique, enabling customers to browse the whole collection online, watch digital footage and even leave messages for the designer himself. To further engage visitors, the changing rooms have special booths that allow customers to post their outfits on Facebook and gauge the opinion of friends back home.

Karl Lagerfeld has also created a capsule collection available exclusively in the new Regent Street store. Inspired by London’s rock-chic aesthetic, the range includes ready-to-wear items from jumpers to jeans.
