Isabella Redmond Styles,

Britain is known for its excellent shoemakers and Joseph Cheaney & Sons is certainly one of them. The brand has been in operation since 1886 and its footwear is still painstakingly crafted by hand using traditional methods and more than 200 separate processes, meaning that it can take up to eight weeks to produce a pair of shoes. Heritage lovers will be interested to know that all Cheaney shoes are still made in the original Northamptonshire factory. The new store in London’s trendy Spitalfields, which stocks an extensive selection of shoes and accessories, is certain to attract a whole new host of fans to the brand.
