For Burberry’s 2015 festive Christmas advertising campaign, chief creative and chief executive officer Christopher Bailey pays homage to the classic film Billy Elliot, enlisting an all-star British cast to recreate the iconic opening scene.
Burberry is renowned for its classic heritage designs, elite celebrity clientele and star-studded fashion campaigns. Championing the best of British talent, Burberry has recruited some of the biggest names in film, music and fashion for its Christmas campaign, including James Bay, Romeo Beckham, Naomi Campbell, James Corden, George Ezra and siblings Rosie and Toby Huntington-Whiteley, as well original cast member Julie Walters. Burberry’s festive offering will also be in the spirit of Christmas, as the brand is making a donation of £500,000 to be split between two charities, Place2Be and the County Durham Community Foundation. All the stars who participated in the festive campaign also chose to donate their fee to the charities. The campaign was photographed by Mario Testino, and you can take a look behind the scenes here.
