Celebrating the very best of meat-free eating, the successful Linda’s Veggie Table event is back for the second year for National Vegetarian Week. Vegetarians, vegans and meat-reducers alike are invited to sample a selection of delicious mocktails and meat-free canapés, before a special celebrity guest and the Linda McCartney in-house chef take centre stage, cooking up a variety of tempting recipes that showcase the delectable flavours in the vegetarian range. Whether you’re looking to sample some new dishes or liven up your own kitchen with a little Linda McCartney inspiration, we suggest heading down to the festival in London this weekend.

From the team behind foodie-favourite Hawksmoor comes the equally popular Foxlow, which is putting its own tasty spin on veggie and vegan dishes this week. Inspired by the place of neighbourhood restaurants at the heart of the city, the food here revolves around the best seasonal British produce. Following the success of its menu for World Vegan Month, the restaurant is once again going green with the introduction of a range of new meat-free dishes, some of which will be on offer permanently. The brand-new menu includes an indulgent chilli triple-cheese sandwich and fries, stuffed with mozzarella, paneer and soft chilli cheese. Or, alternatively, you can choose from lighter, healthier options such as the fresh and summery carrot hummus topped with carrot pesto, or the kale, avocado, fresh herb and toasted seeds salad.

Sky Garden restaurant, London

Sky Garden
As the name suggests, this spectacular restaurant is located an impressive 155 meters up, so it feels as though you are, quite literally, dining in the sky. This gourmet garden oasis offers showstopping views over the city. This weekend we recommend tucking into the vegetarian tasting menu, with or without paired wines, for either lunch or dinner, while taking in the stunning views. Expect innovative and exciting dishes such as Crapaudine beetroot salad with rosella, hazelnut and horseradish dressing, or white asparagus and pine nuts in a filo parcel with artichokes and hispi cabbage. Save room for the deliciously sweet Bahibe 46% milk chocolate bar and salted popcorn ice cream. Who said vegetarian food couldn’t be indulgent?

Michelin-starred restaurant Texture has unveiled a tempting new vegetarian and vegan menu in time for this week’s vegetarian celebrations. The dedicated veggie and vegan dishes showcase chef patron Aggi Sverrisson’s signature style of clean flavours and contrasting textures. The marriage of modern European cuisine with Scandinavian influences and authentic ingredients guarantees you’ll find something tantalisingly unique to enjoy. Bursting with fresh spring flavours, the menu includes dishes such as chilled beetroot soup with lime and ginger, and Thai basil, pea, mint and broad bean salad. The restaurant serves colourful, vibrant and delicious vegetarian and vegan cuisine with a key focus on taste. This weekend we recommend stopping by for a herbivore twist on brunch for National Vegetarian Week. If you’re looking for something to keep you going until dinner time, we recommend the big brunch, which includes your choice of scrambled eggs or tofu, veggie sausage, slow-roasted tomato, oak-smoked house beans, roasted tarragon mushroom and toasted sourdough bread. If you’re looking for something a little different, why not sample the kimchi hash browns, served with poached eggs and wilted spinach, or the mock chicken and waffles with a mushroom bourbon gravy?
