Victoria has long been a tricky destination when it comes to eating out. But since the opening of Greenwood, everyone from craft-beer fans to the pre-theatre crowd is superbly well catered for. Discerning weekend brunch fans are equally spoiled here, with a bottomless brunch menu offering a vast variety of options to suit all appetites and tastes. Starters include light bites such as whole-nut granola with bananas, honey, almond milk and chia seeds, or shrimp and bacon croquettes with mustard mayo, as well as the Instagrammers favourite of avocado on toast with pumpkin seeds, chipotle and coriander. Not to be dismissed is the crumpet with poached eggs and Marmite hollandaise – an unusual choice that will convert those who are sceptical about the quirky British spread.
For mains, vegetarian-friendly options including the falafel burger and the courgette, minted ricotta, artichoke and parmesan pizza are sure to impress, while the naughty-but-nice buttermilk chicken burger and the chilli beef meatball pizza will satisfy even the most ravenous.
With two courses for £20, you can choose to end your meal here, but you’d be missing out on moreish options such as the sensational Oreo cheesecake with blondie crumb, the fried apple pie with cinnamon ice cream and the chocolate brownie and peanut butter sundae. As three courses will set you back just £25, choosing a delectable dessert to finish off your meal in style is, to our mind, a no-brainer.
Go bottomless on your brunch for an additional £15 for two hours. With a choice of unlimited Mimosas, Bloody Marys, house wine or prosecco, this is a real bargain. Even better, on the first floor guests can continue their chilled-out experience with a game of pool or shuffleboard, or perhaps take a spin on the pinball machine. From retro entertainment to exceptional food and drinks, Greenwood is the new must-visit destination for the weekend warrior.
