In the spirit of celebrating the historic relationship between British motoring and fashion, Bentley Motors, a titan of the automotive industry, has partnered with four of Savile Row’s finest tailors to reinvent the classic driving jacket. The result is a capsule collection of bespoke pieces which optimise classic British tailoring and timeless motoring style.

The four tailors involved are Dege & Skinner, Gieves & Hawkes, Henry Poole & Co and Huntsman. Each worked closely with Bentley Motors, including visiting its factory in Crewe in the north west of England, and driving some of its historic and bespoke vehicles, to take inspiration from the intricate detail and craftsmanship employed by the brand.

The resulting collection is the main focus of the new exhibition, Savile Row and America: A Sartorial, Special Relationship, which is being shown in the US capital, Washington DC. The collection will then be flown back to the UK, where the pieces will be on view during the London Collections: Men showcase in their respective tailoring houses, and will be available by private commission.
