Annoushka launches the Imperial collection

Inspired by the designer’s Russian grandmother and the ‘kokoshnik’ headdress she wore, the Imperial collection is a sight to behold

Lucinda Turner,

Available at the Annoushka store in Cadogan Gardens, the Imperial collection is an assortment of spectacular one-of-a-kind pieces that celebrate traditional Russian headdresses as well as the designer’s love of unusual and remarkable stones.

‘I have splendid photographs of my Russian grandmother wearing beautifully embellished headdresses, and this was the starting point for me when I began designing Imperial,’ remarks founder and designer Annoushka Ducas. ‘These one-of-a-kind earrings and rings mimic the magnificent shapes and vivid colours of the kokoshnik headdress in all of its guises. Each headdress is unique and has its own distinct personality, just like this collection.’

The pieces look stunningly regal and have also been created with practicality in mind. The larger statement earrings come with removable drops, allowing them to be worn as studs, and some of the larger rings are actually smaller solitaire rings featuring removable ‘jackets’ for day-to-day wear.

Having just launched in store, these unique pieces are set to sell out fast.
