Jonathan Saunders and Smythson collaborate

Award-winning Scottish designer Jonathan Saunders has collaborated with luxury British accessories brand Smythson once again, to create a series of portfolios and briefcases for his spring/summer 2014 men’s collection

Emily Scrivener,

Jonathan Saunders, widely considered one of London’s leading fashion designers, has taken inspiration from the wardrobe of the Tokyo businessman of the 1980s for his spring/summer 2014 collection.

His use of the sharp tailoring, clean lines and bold colours typical of the era is complemented by his first range of ties and collection of briefcases and portfolios, designed with luxury accessories brand Smythson.

Offered in a range of reds, blues, blacks and greys, the neutral colours of the accessories give elegance and maturity, without losing the collection’s sense of playfulness. Each product is made with the finest leather and is marked with the signature Smythson lock.

This collaboration marks the continuation of Smythson’s work with Jonathan Saunders, as the designer previously created a series of limited-edition stationery for the brand in 2011.
