Karl Lagerfeld’s covetable eponymous brand has increased its fashion foothold with a new store in Istanbul. The new Karl Lagerfeld Istanbul concept store covers 80 square metres and combines the brand’s aspirational, luxury collection with cutting-edge digital technology. Karl Lagerfeld’s signature monochrome look is emulated in the design concept of the store, with modernist black and white features juxtaposed with classic accents.
The new concept store will include the latest digital features. Visitors are invited to use a digital guestbook on Karl iPads, where they can view the latest collections and take photos of their favourite items. The immersive digital shopping experience extends to the changing rooms, which are equipped with special photobooths so customers can seek confirmation of their new look through social media.
The latest fashion venture will showcase the brand’s accessories collections, including handbags, leather goods, watches, eyewear and scarves, alongside women’s ready-to-wear and footwear collections.
Karl Lagerfeld has been increasing his fashion foothold, opening many concept stores throughout Europe and Asia in 2013. This will be the first of more locations to be opened in Turkey in 2014, in partnership with the Demsa Group.
