Lale Devri, which translates into Tulip Season in English and refers to the Ottomans’ best-loved flower, offers authentic local handicrafts and housewares. Its selection ranges from high-quality linens embellished with lace to gold-rimmed, lacquered porcelain coffee cups in bright colours and delicately etched, traditionally thin-waisted tea glasses. Decorative gilded pomegranates and salad tongs shaped like an Ottoman tulip are among the more unusual offerings.
