Pera Palace Hotel
Pera Palace Hotel

After a luxurious €23m renovation, the Pera Palace Hotel has emerged every bit as beautiful as it was when it first opened in 1892. Designed by French-Turkish architect Alexander Vallaury, the richly historic property was both a landmark on the Orient Express route and a playground for the high-society sets of Europe and Pera. Today, the hotel retains its unique mix of neo-classical design and Oriental influences, from the glass-domed Kubbeli Saloon to the carefully restored lobby. Oushak carpets and Murano chandeliers abound in the guest rooms, but the most impressive addition by far is the 380-square-metre spa. Indulge yourself.
