I love it because it is such a colourful and lively place.

The Grand Bazaar: It is such a dynamic bazaar and you can learn about many things when you visit.
Any recommendations for local foods to try?
I recommend the wonderful cuisine of Mardin at Cercis Murat Konağı in Şaşkınbakkal.
Do you have a favourite Istanbul walk?
The Bostancı coastline is ideal for a long walk, as is the Bebek seaside. Any place on the shore of the Bosphorus is fabulous, especially in spring.
What’s the city’s best landmark?
The Bosphorus Bridge.
Which do you think is the best museum?
The Pera Museum.
Any advice for visitors?
I strongly recommend for them to visit the Galata Tower and its surroundings.
Do you have any secret spots in Istanbul? Rumelihisarı is my hide-away. What distinguishes it from other places in Istanbul is that you can see both continents from a short distance. The place also helps you feel ready for the day, even in the very early hours of the morning.
