Favarger's award-winning chocolates

Mike MacEacheran ,

This award-winning chocolatier, established in Lyon in 1826, is one of the most acclaimed sweetmakers in central Europe and is known for pushing the boundaries of taste – its head chocolatier recently developed coriander-infused truffles and milk chocolate-covered foie gras. The Farvager boutique in Geneva is the best destination in the city for last-minute stocking fillers and luxury sweets and candies. But it’s not all about pushing the culinary boundaries of chocolate. Farvager’s speciality remains the Aveline, an exquisite blend of chocolate and hazelnuts which first appeared in Geneva markets back in 1922. If you want to know more, factory visits and tours are available every Wednesday upon request.
