Back in 1967, Swiss watch brand Certina created the DS PH200M, a classic diving watch with elegant and timeless appeal. Capturing the innovative spirit of design that defined the 60s, this timepiece lasted through generations and now, more than 50 years after the first launch, Certina has brought the watch back.
The new DS PH200M features a 42.8mm case and a classic black dial. The model comes with interchangeable straps in sporty black and grey fabric and supple brown leather for a more formal appearance. Taken from the original design, the hesalite glass across the face offers anti-scratch protection and water resistance up to 200 metres. However, when it comes to the mechanical specification,s Certina has opted for a truly modern touch, with an innovative Powermatic 80 movement and an 80-hour power reserve.
The diving watch has always been a signature of the brand. Founded in 1888, Certina produced its first DS diving model in 1959. Given the brand’s past collaborations with the US navy and NASA, and its recording-breaking 1000m diving model alongside its ethical commitment to ocean exploration and conservation, there is no finer choice of diving watch to take the plunge with.
