Hannah Lewis,

Celebrating its 90th anniversary in 2014, Swedish interior design company Svenskt Tenn specialises in beautiful handcrafted products with bold designs. Founder Estrid Ericson set up the business in Stockholm in 1924 and her eye-catching creations were so popular that the store had to move to larger premises after only three years; Svenskt Tenn has been based at Strandvägen 5 since 1927.

When Ericson joined forces with architect and designer Josef Frank (both pictured here), it was the start of a lifelong creative partnership and the duo’s technical skill and artistic vision resulted in a distinctive aesthetic that still endures.

The range available in the store comprises contemporary designs strongly influenced by Ericson and Frank’s style as well as original archived designs which have easily stood the test of time.
