National Museum of Korea's treasures

Jean Oh ,

Home to an extensive collection of ancient Korean artifacts, the National Museum of Korea opened in 1945 and settled into its current Yongsan spot in 2005. Everything from Korean Buddhist sculptures to Goryeo Dynasty celadon are on display through permanent exhibitions in six galleries at this treasure trove of Korean art and history. This autumn and winter, temporary exhibits will also showcase Joseon Dynasty portraits, ancient Korean writings and works created by Joseon Dynasty painters while acting as envoys in China.
