Max Mara Coats! comes to Seoul

As one of the most renowned coat makers in the world, Max Mara brings an exhibition spanning 60 years of its coat-making history to the heart of Seoul

Lucinda Turner
Lucinda Turner,

Max Mara has created coats for everyone from Kate Middleton to Kim Kardashian and is a firm favourite with the fashion crowd. Its celebrated 101801 cashmere camel coats are a dream wardrobe staple and now Max Mara has brought over 90 of its creations to the Zaha Hadid-designed Dongdaemun Design Plaza in Seoul. The Coats! exhibition has been a roaring success in Berlin, Tokyo, Beijing and Moscow and this is the latest stop on its tour, featuring brand new additions and innovations specifically for the South Korean audience. The exhibition takes visitors on a journey through the decades, exploring styles from the 1950s right up to the coats seen on the catwalks of Milan this season. With a site-specific installation by Korean artist Yiyun Kang as well as a variety of theatrical sets to represent each decade, it is certainly a show that is not to be missed. Catch it while you can.

Coats! runs until 12 December 2017 at the Dongdaemun Design Plaza in Seoul.
