Hello Kitty Orchid Garden
For something completely different in airport dining, visit the Hello Kitty Orchid Garden. Open 24 hours a day, this pretty café at Changi Airport has décor which honours Singapore’s national flower and reflects Hello Kitty’s famous aesthetic. The menu includes all-day breakfasts, substantial main courses, sharing plates and irresistible desserts, all with a Hello Kitty twist. Try the Cowabunga! Wagyu!, the café’s interpretation of beef rendang, followed by the Cat In Paradise, a mango mousse served with candied orange, almond crumble, marshmallow sauce and a scoop of hazelnut ice cream.

Park Bench Deli
The people behind Park Bench Deli are determined to produce some of Singapore’s best sandwiches. Superior-quality ingredients are used to make snacks which are impeccably balanced in terms of texture, flavour and bread-to-filling ratio. The pork belly bánh mì is a bestseller for good reason. Whole cuts of pork belly are braised and marinated for at least 24 hours in a homemade sauce and served with a pickle mix which is also made in-house. The same attention to detail is applied to the café’s Cuban sandwich: pork shoulder is marinated overnight, braised the following night, pulled and seared on a hotplate and then packed inside Cuban bread, along with pickles and cheese, before being grilled. Each bite is as flavoursome as possible, thanks to the chefs’ flair.

Café By Plain Vanilla
Café by Plain Vanilla can be found at ION Orchard’s chic In Good Company store, where it attracts a fashionable clientele. All the bread, cakes and pastries are handmade in-house, as well as the granola and jam. Several skilfully made tarts are served, such as roasted pumpkin with sage and pine nuts, and goat’s cheese with mushrooms and leek. Excellent organic coffee is served, thanks to medium-roasted beans provided by Allpress Espresso while the cold drinks include iced teas as well as homemade lemonade.

Mad About Sucre
Mad About Sucre brings the art of French patisserie to Singapore, making everything from scratch using high-quality, natural ingredients including unbleached organic flour and raw sugar. Daily seasonal cakes are baked, such as coconut with passion fruit, and each cake is served with a specially blended tea which complements the flavour profile of the sweet treat. Delicious biscuits are also available, such jasmine and bergamot butter cookies, along with Mad About Sucre’s range of chocolates including a wild berry variety.
