Hannah Lewis,

Founded by Porto-born designer Telma Olivera, Wek – which stands for Wearable Compliments – is bringing a unique new concept to the world of jewellery. Though at first glance the latest collection of Wek necklaces and bracelets seem to be made of wires, Olivera has actually created the pieces from the cords traditionally used to tie grape vines to their supports in Portugal. Versatile and flexible, the cords can be twisted and overlapped for various different looks, and an added element of individuality comes from their unique scent-absorbing properties – they will gradually take on the fragrance of your favourite perfume.
