Alexander McQueen opens flagship in Tokyo


Alexander McQueen has joined the ranks of Givenchy, Prada and Balenciaga and opened its first flagship store in Japan, in the prestigious Aoyama district of Tokyo

British fashion house Alexander McQueen has opened its first comprehensive flagship store in Japan. Designed by creative director Sarah Burton, the new store is set over two floors and will house both men’s and women’s collections.

The store will also be a platform to buy runway looks, ready-to-wear designs and accessories, while in addition showcasing iconic McQueen pieces such as the classic skull scarves and knuckle box clutches.

The flagship has been designed with artwork commissioned from contemporary Japanese artists. The new store concept makes for a unique shopping experience exclusive to Tokyo.
