Verity Hogan,

Tizzy’s NY Bar & Grill
An authentic American diner in the heart of Milan, Tizzy’s NY Bar & Grill is the creation of a homesick New Yorker looking to recreate the relaxed style of restaurant found in her hometown. Capitalising on the gourmet burger trend currently sweeping across Europe, the restaurant offers a well-edited menu of sandwiches, salads and burgers. The topping options are extensive, ranging from cheese and bacon to avocado and jalapeno peppers, while each sandwich is inspired by the flavours of one of New York’s five boroughs. Be sure to try the restaurant’s popular weekend brunch, including cinnamon French toast, eggs benedict and stacked pancakes with a cup of American-style coffee.

Jole Veneziani: High Fashion and Society in Milan
The 1950s and 60s were a golden age for Italian fashion and Jole Veneziani was a driving force in the industry, pioneering the country’s fresh approach to post-war fashion. This special retrospective of her life and career includes a selection of period costumes, sketches, photographs, films and documents, drawn from an archive containing over 15,000 pieces. The exhibition is designed to reflect the inherent elegance of the Villa Necchi Campiglio but will also evoke the distinctive atmosphere of her famed Via Montenapoleone atelier – a popular meeting place for the fashion elite throughout the period.

The hotel is home to 64 rooms that strike the perfect balance between hi-tech functionality and home comforts. A minimalist theme runs throughout the interior décor, enhanced by the use of unusual materials such as rough slate, burnished brass, gauze-effect glass and aged mirrors; the bespoke furnishings by Vincenzo de Cotiis are also worthy of note.
