Despite being located in a city whose residents are known for their love of meat, Joia has become something of a surprise success with its vegetarian focus. Chef Pietro Leeman integrates the freshest vegetables and herbs into witty, flavourful dishes. Leeman’s light touch is reflected in the restaurant’s interior, with its fixtures in blonde wood and neutral colour scheme. Expect to find dishes such as flourless potato dumplings stuffed with tapenade and accompanied by a pea and basil pesto. Seafood dishes are available for non-vegetarians and the selection of cheese is excellent.

Andy Warhol’s Stardust
An exhibition dedicated to one of the world’s most iconic artists, Andy Warhol’s Stardust brings a touch of Hollywood glamour to central Milan throughout the summer months. Exhibited in a closely packed formation to reflect Warhol’s mass-production methods and displayed in chronological order, the works are taken from throughout the 70s and 80s, highlighting the artist’s most important artistic phases. Look out for some of his most famous works; the Campbell’s soup cans, Marilyn Monroe portrait and a selection of floral prints are all on display.

Hotel Sheraton Diana Majestic
The Hotel Sheraton Diana Majestic fits perfectly with Milan’s own inherent style. The hotel, which opened in 1904, has a traditional charm and rich history that is reflected in its antique furnishings, imperial-style decor and opulent marble bathrooms. A full refurbishment in 1998 brought the Hotel Sheraton Diana Majestic up to date with state-of-the-art technology and the Sheraton’s exclusive Sweet Sleeper beds, which further enhance its original features. The hotel’s subtle elegance has long attracted a fashionable crowd and the city’s most stylish inhabitants can be found frequenting the hotel bar or gathering in the spacious courtyard garden on warm evenings.
