Versace opens a new-look store in Rome

Old meets new as the latest Versace store sees traditional mosaic and marble fittings combined with Perspex

Katie Ramsingh
Katie Ramsingh,

Versace is always at the forefront of modern and edgy designs yet it is also a brand that places great importance on its heritage. This relationship between past and future can clearly be seen in the brand’s newly opened boutique in Rome’s Piazza di Spagna.

The second Versace store in Rome, the new boutique features mosaic floors inspired by Byzantine churches of the ninth century, contrasted with futuristic Perspex walls and shelves. Created in collaboration with English architect Jamie Fobert, this skilful blend of traditional Italian opulence and architectural style perfectly mirrors Versace’s own balance between old and new.

Versace’s prêt-à-porter collections for men and women will be stocked in the new store as well as an extensive range of accessories.
