Gucci’s 1921 Collection, an exclusive range of men’s and women’s ready-to-wear and accessories, was conceived to celebrate the house’s 90th anniversary in 2011. The collection will carry a new label, G. GUCCI Firenze 1921, stamped inside the accessories, on belt buckles and printed on metal travel tags. Highlights of the 1921 collection include special editions of the New Bamboo, New Jackie and Horsebit Chain handbags, produced in calfskin and crocodile, in dark brown, pink, khaki, cherry and bottle green. The calfskin theme is extended to two vintage-inspired men’s suitcases embossed with the historic Diamante pattern. The 1921 Collection will debut in select Gucci boutiques worldwide and on gucci.com in June.
