Museo Salvatore Ferragamo announces new exhibition

An exhibition exploring the fairy tales and legends surrounding shoes and shoemakers

Katie Ramsingh ,

No trip to Florence is complete without a visit to the Museo Salvatore Ferragamo, and this spring the museum just got even more unmissable as its hosts a new exhibition: The Amazing Shoemaker – Fairy Tales and Legends about Shoes and Shoemakers.

From 19 April 2013 to 31 March 2014 the exhibition will explore the role shoes play in fairy tales, myths and legends. It will also tell the real-life fairy tale of Salvatore Ferragamo himself, from his dream to learn an old-age trade to his travels around the world learning the cobbling craft.

The exhibition is open from 10am to 7:30pm everyday.
