Launching today, a new project from heritage Italian label Tod’s will give designers and creatives from across the world the chance to put their own unique spin on the brand’s classic style. T Factory will be rolled out several times each year, with a different creative vision behind each capsule injecting exciting new collections into the brand’s seasonal launches.
For the inaugural project, Tod’s looked to renowned Italian designer Alessandro Dell’Acqua, founder and creative director of ultra-chic Italian label No21. When he created the line for Tod’s, Dell’Acqua began with the gommini style that characterises the classic Tod’s loafer and took it on a journey through his undoubtedly elegant aesthetic. The loafer itself is reimagined in patent leather with a soft velvet bow as well as in a stylish slingback style. The gommini signature studded sole also finds a home on minimalist stretch ankle boots and on flats and kitten heels based on Tod’s traditional pumps.
The entire collection, which also extends to ready-to-wear pieces, is strictly limited to a palette of three distinctive colours: Tod’s tan, Alessandro Dell’Acqua’s signature rosa cipria shade of pink and classic black. From a timeless trench coat to modern patent leather trousers, these tonal looks are the perfect blend of Tod’s heritage and Dell’Acqua’s modern vision.
The Tod’s x Alessandro Dell’Acqua T Factory capsule is available in Tod’s stores internationally from 12 November.
