Power was the key word for Milan Fashion Week autumn/winter 2018, with many designers providing an interesting dialogue around current social movements. 1980s-style power dressing was a serious trend for AW18, with double-breasted suits, shoulder pads and tweed coming to the fore. Designers such as Prada, Roberto Cavalli and Fendi, however, looked at new ways to portray strong and powerful femininity, updating dress codes with subtle embellishments. Elsewhere, western silhouettes reigned supreme, with cowboy boots one of the biggest shoe trends for autumn/winter 2018. From power suits to punk, heritage prints to animal prints, these are the best trends from Milan Fashion Week 2018.
