Leica’s M Monochrom now in silver

After numerous requests from customers, Leica now presents its M Monochrom camera in a sleek silver finish

Katie Ramsingh,

Leica’s groundbreaking M Monochrom camera set a new milestone in black-and-white photography when it was unveiled to the world two years ago, so it makes sense that for the brand’s 100 anniversary it is celebrating with a new model of one of its most famous cameras.

Due to popular demand from customers, the Leica M Monochrom now comes in silver chrome. Like its black counterpart it is distinguished by its discreet unbranded appearance, and the 35mm format, 18-megapixel camera also captures razor-sharp digital black-and-white images.

Milanese fans of Leica will also be happy to know that the brand’s 100-year anniversary also marks the arrival of the city’s first Leica gallery and store. The new space will not only stock the latest Leica products but will also be home to special Leica workshops and exhibitions, including one curated by Alessia Glaviano, senior photo editor of Vogue Italia and L’Uomo Vogue.
