Dolce & Gabbana looks to the future with Piave 37

Italy’s cool kids gathered at Dolce & Gabbana’s new store, Piave 37, to celebrate the opening of an exciting, innovative space dedicated to supporting young talent

Hannah Lewis,

Not content with being one of the biggest names in fashion, Italian design house Dolce & Gabbana is also set to lend a helping hand to young designers. Founders Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana opened their first multi-brand boutique, Spiga 2, in 2010.

The new store’s aim is to find and support a fresh generation of designers, and the team’s commitment to this idea is string enough that it has now opened a second location, Piave 37. Aiming to offer real and commercial exposure to some of Dolce & Gabbana’s favourite young fashion names, the store is packed with ready-to-wear and accessories from some of the coolest names on the scene.

Discover Barbara Casasola – a Brazilian designer who débuted at Milan Fashion Week this month – or indulge in modern headwear from Italian brand SuperDuper hats. Also worth a look is the collection from House of Holland, a London-based label that proves a favourite each season with Britain’s trendiest young celebs.

If you need any further proof that Piave 37 is the place to be right now, you need only look as far as the guest list for its opening night. If Anna Dello Russo turns up, you know you’re on to a winner.
