Italians are renowned for their love of bright colours, bold prints and tactile textures, and are often the best dressed of the many people at Milan Fashion Week. Multiple Italian fashion houses, from Prada to Miu Miu and Fendi, bring a love of prints and pops of colour to the fore of their collections, shunning monochrome shades for more vibrant hues. For autumn/winter 2016 catwalks were awash with sumptuous accessories, with many designers emphasising opulent finishes and eye-catching materials. Gothic glamour was a reoccurring theme throughout all the fashion weeks, but in Milan designers added even more of a sophisticated edge, opting for velvet and embellishments, and with some even adding chains to their accessories.
