Louis Vuitton publishes limited-edition book

From the Speedy to the Alma, the Neverfull to the Noé, Louis Vuitton introduces the first comprehensive overview of its iconic women’s city bags

Katie Ramsingh
Katie Ramsingh,

Louis Vuitton is synonymous with modern luxury, and this is in no small part thanks to its profoundly influential handbag designs. Famed for their names alone – Speedy, Papillon, Alma, Lockit, Noé, Bucket, Neverfull, Sac Plat and Pochette – these soft-sided bags now have an entire book dedicated to their history and creation, as Louis Vuitton publishes Louis Vuitton City Bags: A Natural History, later this month. Available in French, English and Italian, the book details the history of the bags, dating back to the turn of the 20th century. When you stop at the newly built Louis Vuitton Venice store, be sure to pick up a copy.
