New luxury brands at de Bijenkorf for spring/summer 2014

Each season de Bijenkorf adds inspiring new brands to its range and this spring/summer the department store offers the catwalk collections from exclusive designer names such as Peter Pilotto, Mary Katrantzou and Christopher Kane

Emily Scrivener,

This season, Amsterdam department store de Bijenkorf is expanding its fashon scope by introducing the spring catwalk collections of Peter Pilotto, Mary Katrantzou and Christopher Kane, as well as a host of other brands exclusive to the store.

Victoria Beckham, Theory, Preen, Sophia Webster and Kenzo are just a selection of the other labels that will showcase the new season’s trends. Visitors can expect to see sheer layers of silk, cropped tanks and overlapping layers of colour, all trends that featured heavily in the spring/summer 2014 collections.

In addition to the aforementioned brands, British label Whistles has made its way to Amsterdam and is being sold exclusively at de Bijenkorf. The Whistles shops have become a regular stop for the world’s fashion elite during London Fashion Week so it’s no surprise that Whistles is expanding its foothold outside the UK.

Newly added menswear labels include denim brands Good Genes, Kings of Indigo and Edwin, which are sold alongside established brands such as Levi’s and G-Star. A pop-up branch of chic French brand The Kooples has also recently opened at de Bijenkorf, offering both menswear and womenswear.

After its successful launch earlier in the year, Armani cosmetics is the place to go for those seeking the latest spring make-up trends.
